Not every family is the Waltons or the Huxtables.

While I’m sure most people have a family holiday memory that qualifies for years of therapy, for the most part, I think a lot of it is over dramatic.  We tend to over-emphasize the bad that has happened, and forget there was a lot more good.  That doesn’t mean its not funny.  Here’s The Dropkick Murphys with “The Season’s Upon Us.”

When your son plays the same instrument as you, sometimes you just gotta toot your own horn.


I was able to ninja a photo of my son during his Christmas concert.  You should have sen the face he made at me when one of his partners in crime told him I pulled off the caper of the century.  Hey, the jazz band sounded good, and he had a tenor solo.  I’m allowed to brag a bit.  Here’s the Holy Name High School Jazz Band playing “Let It Snow.”

Why a cavalcade? Read this.

On a previous post, Junior Chills was kind enough to leave a comment.  And, with a name like Junior Chills, you can be sure he’s a musician.  Not only is he a musician, Junior is a song writer.  In his comment, Junior gave me a link to his original composition, “Christmas Town.”  The video combines scenes from various Christmas movies, which reminded me of one of my all time favorite Christmas films, “Die Hard.” Continue reading
