Ya, I’m starting a little late this year…
I don’t like Christmas music.
OK, that’s not entirely true. I don’t like when a local radio station decides to start broadcasting Christmas music twenty four hours a day at Midnight on Halloween. I don’t listen to that station anyway, but, the decision starts to bleed over onto stations to which I do listen. The same songs, over and over, performed by different artists, all relative to the station’s genre. Even when an artist I like puts out a song, I’m not as enthused because the song has already been done to death by so many other artists.
“What do you like, Patrick?” you may be asking. (Go ahead, I’ll wait.)
I like when someone writes a new song.
I like when an artist puts a twist on a standard that comes out of left field.
In that vein, I present Here Come the Mummies:
